You’d be surprised how many people ask Graceful Lilly just what is the correct skincare routine for great skin. The skincare routine is often a very personal one, but the routine/ritual that I always use and suggest to people is this one.

Each individual, self-proclaimed “expert” will have their own ritual. You’d be surprised at how many people will not recommend an SPF to finish things off with. This step is IMPERATIVE as we all know how much damage the sun does to our skin. This is of course without any regard for the skin cancer risks that we run. Even on overcast days.

As the old saying goes “It’s better to be safe than sorry”. Yes, the same applies to SPF when we’re out in the sun.

Both the chocolate and coffee scrubs made by Graceful Lilly are equipt with 3 of the 7 recommended steps for this routine. For any other steps, we’d recommend and brand of Witch Hazel. A great natural toner. Or any brand of SPF 50 lotion to protect you from the UV rays.

  1. Wash
  2. Scrub
  3. Toner
  4. Serum
  5. Moisturiser
  6. Eye cream
  7. SPF
Skincare is very much like yin and yang. What goes around comes around. If you are good to your skin, your skin will show improvement in a matter of weeks. You and your friends will be astounded!

At Graceful Lilly, we have developed two scrubs. The chocolate and coffee scrub. These two scrubs are equipped with a wash, scrub and moisturiser. So, by applying either of these scrubs, you are taking care of two of the 7 vital skincare steps outlined above.

And you don’t have to spend a fortune on the most expensive skincare products, either. If you find a reasonably priced natural product, FANTASTIC!!

As well as all of the above, we can not emphasise enough the importance of a correct diet. I’m sure that you know as well as anyone….. Keep up the fruit, vegies water, blah, blah, blah.

If you find the water too boring to drink by itself, try mixing it with a twist of lemon/orange skin. If this fails, try some iced tea powder.
